Just keep trying. I think guys probably LIKE girls that they can feel comfortable around, and I'm sure you'll find someone who thinks of you romantically, instead of just as a friend. Be yourself, be patient, and don't push things. There are plenty of guys out there in the world. Oh, and don't listen to the jerks who said you were fat.
