I want to be a Nurse Practitioner Help?

I am wanting to be a Nurse Practitioner and I am entering my senior year. What should I do? Can you tell me step by step what actions i should be taking this year? Also, what colleges offer the best programs? Preferably in Texas and please give me extra details on this job. Thanks!
